The Model 243 is designed to detect powerline sparks. It is continuously tunable from 500 kHz to 1000 MHz with a large waveform display. The display splits to show live and “reference” traces. Excellent sensitivity makes detecting even small signals easy.
Spark gap noise characteristics can be observed on the LCD display, seen on the signal strength meter, and heard on the speaker. This unique combination of features permits quick identification and location of power line sparking that causes HAM radio, AM radio, LTE, DSL, and CATV complaints. With the AM probe, the Model 243 can also be used to quickly identify indoor electronic sources.
This rugged instrument is furnished with a carrying case, battery charger, mag mount whip antenna, handheld directional antenna and low frequency probe.
