IDV Intelligent Electronic Device Voltage Regulation Monitor
Many years of evolution has perfected Treetech’svoltage regulation. The IDV goes far beyond a traditional voltage regulator because itperforms intelligent voltage regulation optimized through Artificial Intelligence techniques employing load curves, producing higher energy quality and fewer losses. Many of its attributes are patent pending in Brazil and internationally. The sensor is the most complete and efficient solution available on the market, and features:
- One RS485 port with protocols: DNP3.0 and Modbus RTU;
- Current measurements with clip-on window CTs, increasing safety for installation and maintenance personnel;
- Multi-measuring Function: displays of voltages in the transformer and load, voltage deviations, current, active, reactive and apparent power, power factor and frequency;
- VT/CT lag adjustable from 0 to 3300, allowing all variations of possible VT/CT connections;
- Line Drop compensation through Resistance or Reactance (Rx) adjustments or through the simplified voltage drop percentage method (compensation Z);
- OLTC blocking in case of overcurrent and undervoltage. Option to select action if an overvoltage occurs: blocking the OLTC or fast voltage reduction.
- Local/Remote and Manual/Automatic OLTC control.
- Use of the Master-Slave or Circulating Current methods for parallel control of up to three transformers;
- 3 signalling relays with programmable functions and statuses(NO/NC);
- Four remote control dry contact inputs, to change regulation programs, paralleling control and others;
- Rugged construction, exceeding the EMC standards, for operation in severe electromagnetic conditions and with an operating temperature of -20 to 70oC or -40 to 85oC;
- Universal power supply of 38~265 Vac/ 38~275 Vdc, 50/60Hz;
- Compact dimensions saves space and reduces control panel costs;
- High brightness VFD (Vacuum Fluorescent Display), readable under any lighting and temperature conditions;
- Non-volatile mass memory for measurements and alarms eliminating the need for maintenance;
Accessories
PT100ΩW Temperature Sensor at 0ºC
Top oil temperature in power transformers is usually measured by a temperature sensor installed in a thermowell on the transformer’s cover. The sensors used with the IDV must be a Pt100W at 0ºCThese sensors are supplied with the appropriate size and fittings to suit the thermowells.
We also supply weather shields for ambient temperature measurement.
External Clip-on CTs (Split Core)
The use of external clip-on CTs with a split core window allows the installation of the temperature monitors without directly connecting the bushing CT secondary to the IDM. This eliminates the risk of accidentally opening the secondary and allows installation during transformer operation.
Outdoor cabinets
The IDVmust always be installed in a shelter against the weather. The IDV can be installed in the transformer control panel. When this is inconvenient as when retrofitting old transformers the IDVcan be supplied in a weatherproof cabinet.
